In this trying season for everyone, enjoy some quality birding in your garden.
I just learned that in a national photo contest on Gardens for Wildlife, I have two winning photos of birds in our Steilacoom garden. The contest was sponsored by the National Wildlife Federation, and had 5000 entries.
-My photo, "A Chickadee Lands on a Garden Tool," was the Category Winner in "Wildlife Observed Where People Live, Work, Play, Learn, Worship."
-The second photo is "Rufous Hummingbird in a Mock Orange," winning "Honorable Mention" in the same category.
